Destination #2: San Francisco, CA

I have to start by staying I am a little disappointed this trip didn't begin one day later - it would have been one hell of a start watching a guy from Stockton pitch a perfect game.  Go 209!

Regardless, yesterday was the second stop on the journey - another stadium I have frequented in the past: AT&T Park in San Francisco.  After a very long day of work, I headed up to San Francisco and started with a pre-game at the Java House - straight to the back bar for a beer and a hot dog.  I was introduced to this place on my first trip to (what was then) Pac-Bell Park with Kevin Harkin; now it is the usually stop prior to a Giants' Game.

Jeremy worked his connections and scored some awesome club level seats between home plate and third base - not a bad view at all.  The game was a battle for the top of the NL West, but unfortunately the Giants fell short.  Besides the game, I couldn't help but be distracted by the girl sitting directly in front of me who spent the entire game writing in what appeared to be her personal journey (odd observation indeed).

A fun fact worth commenting on is the ballpark announcer is a will be curious to see if any other stadium has a female behind the mic.  Even though the home team didn't prevail, the beer was cold, the evening was gorgeous, and the seats were great - another successful Bay Area stop.

Of course the night couldn't be complete with a little post-game stop, so we hit the patio at MoMo's for a final final.  The view of people exiting AT&T Park from that patio:

I have just landed in St. Louis to continue the adventure - from here on out I will be visiting each stadium for the very first time.  Tomorrow's stop - Busch Stadium...

  1. So, I'm guessing there were a few more people at the giants game than the a's game

  2. Andy...great way to start...don't forget the Giant Burger....cheese, bacon, onions and a fried egg!! The best in the City!! You forgot to go to O'Neil's!! Next time...
